the SEC powerhouse LSU (Louisiana State University Tigers) and the Big Ten's
Iowa Hawkeyes in a match up on New Year's Day 1/1 at the Citrus Bowl in
Orlando, Florida at 1pm est.
The game should be one of the better college
football bowl games this year featuring the Big Ten co-champions in Iowa and strong SEC finishers LSU, who always have a tough football team.

| Capital One Bowl History |
| The Capital One Bowl formerly the Citrus bowl
and Tangerine Bowl in 1947 has featured the SEC Champion vs. the Big Ten
champion in a NCAA college football match up, with a notable exception of
this year. Auburn earned themselves an appearance in the Sugar Bowl because
of an undefeated 2004 season. The game became the Florida Citrus Bowl in
1983, becoming the Capital One Bowl in 2002 with sponsorship from Capital
One, past sponsors included Comp USA. |
