The best way to get sports tickets for your favorite team is usually to become a season ticket holder for that team. The only problem with being a season ticket holder is that you have to buy tickets for either every single game or buy 10 games in which you only
get 1-2 good games, who wants to do that? Sometimes even season tickets are sold out, and you have to be put on a season ticket waiting list by the respective organization and it could take months to years to lifetimes to get a hold of season tickets. Some examples of this would be Ohio State football or the NFL's Green Bay Packers, in which people have claimed to be on the waiting list for over 30 years to no avail. So how does a sports fan get tickets to his/her favorite team? The answer is the online ticket agency or broker. A broker has obtained season sports tickets or the few remaining tickets on a public on sale at a premium from sports fans who have given up on their team, years ago through the team itself at the box office or on a season basis off a fan who needs extra money. The broker then resells the tickets at a premium price on a game by game basis of course profiting when the team does good and taking a loss when the team does bad which makes it a very interesting occupation to say the least! However, the casual or even avid sports fan can purchase tickets at a premium usually based on market demand for that event. In other words, a Boston Red Sox World Series ticket is going to cost
way more then a Red Sox week day game in April on a rainy day because the demand is way higher for World Series tickets then regular season games. This allows more fans to see their favorite team and even though you may have to pay a few extra bucks for that coveted ticket, you won't be left in the dark and you also don't have to pay the enormous amount of money it costs for season tickets when you only want to go to the most important or sought after games between your team's most bitter rival or playoff contender.
